Is the free tier really free?
Yes — TACACS and RADIUS AI diagnosis in VS Code, forever, no credit card. Paid plans add the other protocols, full reasoning, and team features.
What's the difference between Pro and Team?
Pro is one power user. Team adds seats, a shared workspace and run history, and hosted SaaS access so there is nothing to run.
Can I self-host?
Yes — Enterprise includes a licence-keyed self-hosted or air-gapped deployment of the full stack.
How does billing work?
It doesn't yet. Nothing on this page can be purchased while Pro is in public beta — there is no card, no invoice and no subscription to cancel. When paid plans open, billing will run through Stripe and we will say so here first.
I don't have a RADIUS or TACACS server to test against. Can I still use it?
Yes, but you build the lab. Pro points at a real server — it does not simulate one. If you have nothing to point it at, the virtual AAA lab we develop against is available to stand up yourself: real 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, DHCP and directory traffic on a single Kubernetes host, with real EAPOL frames on the wire.
It wants a machine of its own — 6 cores, 32 GB RAM, 200 GB disk — and it comes with its own operating and troubleshooting guide. We do not host it and we do not run it for you. More about the Virtual Lab →
What do I get in the Pro beta, and what does it cost me?
The full Pro build, free, running entirely on your own machine — no account, no licence key, nothing phoning home.
The one cost you carry is optional: AI narration uses your Anthropic or OpenAI key. There is no SLA, and support is one person reading support@bmi2.com.
